Electronic Tongue

Scientist at Illinois University has developed a small electronic sensor chip, which can quickly and accurately detect sweetness in any substance. This new device can accurately determine sweetness from range of natural and artificial substance fourteen different kind of sweetness using easy to read color markers. This can be used as a quality control instrument in food processing industry where various sweet products are manufactured. This sensor is almost of the size of any business card can also determine sweetness in any solid food like cake or biscuit and chewing gum etc. Scientist further working to develop electronic nose in future.
